When a girl’s topping six feet at the age of sixteen, a modeling career is kind of in the cards — especially if she blossoms into a dame like Claire Stansfield. Born in London, England, to English and German parents, Claire moved to Canada as a child, which is where she started doing runway shows and appearing in magazines and commercials. She speaks fluent German and spent much of her time traveling between Germany and North America before heading back to her hometown of London, where she attended London’s Central School of Drama. After graduation, Claire headed to Hollywood with stars in her eyes. Hollywood, however, hasn’t known what to do with this amazing Amazon, and she is usually an unforgettable presence in forgettable films. Don’t miss her as a buxom bounty hunter in Red Shoe Diaries 5: Weekend Pass (1995) or as a tough gal holding her own (while we hold our own) in Gladiator Cop (1994). Claire’s also firmly on top of Eric Roberts in the scorching Sensation (1994). She also made for a sexy beastie on a 1993 episode of The X Files. But for true trouble, marvel at Claire’s recurring role as the evil witch “Alti” on episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess (1998). Claire’s foul-mouthed antics at Xena conventions have since made her a fan favorite.
